This week, St Joseph’s held their 2025 Young Speakers Challenge finale! Each year group was given one of our six Catholic Teachings and asked to write a speech based on a topic related to each teaching. The children worked very hard over the past few weeks, thinking deeply about their subjects and how to express their thoughts clearly.
Firstly, we must say a huge well done to all the children who participated in this challenge. Everybody did so well and should be really proud of themselves! It takes a lot of bravery to stand up in front of people and read a speech you have written yourself.
Now onto the finalists! What a performance! They were all so courageous standing up in front of the whole school and their parents. Each finalist should feel really proud for making it to the final! Their hard work and dedication were clear to see in the way they delivered their speeches. The audience was captivated by the powerful messages they shared, and it showcased the incredible talent within our school.
But a special well done needs to go to our winners, Brent and Heroni! Their speeches were not only well written but were also delivered with such passion and confidence. They truly inspired everyone in the room with their words. We are so proud of them and all the finalists for their outstanding achievements!
We also had a fantastic performance from our wonderful St Joseph’s Choir!
Well done, everyone! Please enjoy the performances below and take a moment to celebrate the wonderful efforts of all our talented speakers.
