We are so excited to be back in Year One ready for a new term of fun learning!
We have started learning all about our new focus book for English: The Secret of Black Rock. The children have enjoyed predicting what the story is about, describing what they can see in the illustrations as well as learning and exploring new vocabulary from the book. Year One are looking forward to seeing if their predictions are correct and reading the end of the story.
Also, Year One have started their new Science focus “Polar Places”. Year One have found it interesting to discover what the climate is like in these Polar Places, using a globe to locate the North and South pole as well as exploring animals that live in the Arctic and animals that live in the Antarctic.
