This week in Year 1, we have been focusing on our storytelling skills.
We listened to the story “Albert’s Discovery” and created freeze frames for the key parts of the story. We did this in groups and used our teamwork and acting skills to bring the story to life. Then, we sequenced the story using time connective language such as: first, next, then and finally. We used this knowledge to rehearse the story and retell it using our own words and keeping it in order. We look forward to how this experience is going to help us write fantastic sentences in the future.
