This week Year One have started their new History topic “Greatest Explorers”. Year One focused on what an Explorer is, what they did, what equipment they would use and what kind of characteristics they would need to have. Year One believed that an Explorer needed to be brave, resilient, curious and adventurous. Year One had a go at drawing what an Explorer looked like, their interpretations are very unique and interesting.
Also, Year One have been preparing for their Liturgy of the Word this week. We have been focusing on the importance on Prayer as well as who and what we can pray for. Year One determined that we can pray for all kinds of things but especially love, family and friends. Year One wrote down what their are praying for and created a Prayer Chain to show how different prayers can link together.
