An exciting finish to a hard working week in Year One as the thunder and lightning arrived with the hailstones!
In English this week the children wrote their own letters to a character of their choice from Hermelin (the main character in our class book). The children learned about the structure of a letter and how to write one successfully.
In Math’s the pupils used scales to measure a variety of classroom objects as well as learning more about mass and volume. We have been working hard on what the words heavier, lighter, mass and the same as mean in class.
The children also read about The Last Supper and retold the story in Religion. To wrap the week up the children watched the fierce hailstones accompanied with thunder and lightning. Congratulations to our Star of the Week pupils, well done all on another great week!
