Welcome back everybody! It was so nice to see all our pupils back and happy after their Christmas holidays.
We started off the week with a trip to St Joseph’s Church to celebrate a very Holy day – The Epiphany. The Epiphany is celebrated to remember the journey the 3 Wise Men took, following the Star of Bethlehem, to find Jesus in a manger. The Mass was delivered by Violet Class who did a sterling job of reading clearly & concisely, creating a reflective atmosphere for a special day.
Later in the week, the pupils began bringing in their Climate Change projects that were set before the holidays. Mr Hogan & I were blown away at the effort that went into these pieces of work. A personal favourite was when Cillian from Amethyst Class brought in organic seaweed (he explained how seaweed takes in more carbon dioxide than all of the forests on the earth, therefore it is imperative that we protect our oceans to keep this wonderful species alive) for the whole class to enjoy!
