It was great having all our pupils back after what I hope was a restful and enjoyable Easter break. Upon return, the pupils were bubbling with excitement seeing their friends and telling each other all about what they got up to.
This week in Maths, the pupils spent time working through Algebra, specifically looking at expressions, substituting values and solving one-step equations.
In English, our pupils have taken a keen interest in the life of Anne Frank, and therefore, have written a letter to a publication company from the perspective of Otto Frank, aiming to persuade the company to publish Anne’s emotive diary entries.
Finally, in Music, the pupils have begun a new unit of work focussing on the ukulele. Our Year 6’s had such a fun experience with a new instrument, even being able to play and sing to Cotton Eye Joe, Radioactive and many more!
