What an exciting week it has been for our Year 6 pupils! On Wednesday, our pupils had the wonderful opportunity to attend the Lion King production at the Lyceum Theatre. There were tears of joy, laughter and awe at the incredible stage production, costumes and of course, singing! As we know, learning is not just about sitting and writing in books, and some of the most important lessons come from field trips. We always strive to have our pupils attend a West-End show as the theatre exposes young people to new vocabulary and ways of communicating. Through the arts of dance, acting, and music, children learn how to communicate in a variety of unique ways.
After the wonders of The Lion King, we were treated further when City & Islington College came to St Joseph’s to perform their own fun interpretation of Cinderella! The students at City & Islington College are currently completing their Level 4 Professional Diploma in Performance. As you can imagine, our pupils were blown away by the performance, and we would like to extend a big thank you to City & Islington College for coming to St Joseph’s once again!
Finally, parent consultations are being held on Thursday 21st of March, so please ensure you have booked your consultation appointment if you have not done so already!
