Another unforgettable residential has come to an end! This year, our Year 6 pupils enjoyed a fantastic week at PGL’s Little Canada on the Isle of Wight, filled with adventure, discovery and plenty of fun.
We began our journey on Monday with a stop at Portsmouth Historic Dockyard, where we explored HMS Warrior, stepping inside to see the ships up close. Afterwards, a quick ferry ride took us to the island and on to PGL, where we settled in with dinner and an evening activity.
Tuesday was action-packed with archery, rock climbing, the sensory trail and more. The day ended with a thrilling game of ambush against the camp leaders!
On Wednesday, we headed out on a morning excursion to The Needles. Pupils enjoyed a glass-making workshop, a sweet-making demonstration and even a 4D cinema experience before returning to PGL for more activities.
Thursday took us to Osborne House, where pupils discovered the history of Queen Victoria’s holiday home before enjoying lunch at her private beach. The evening finished on a high with the much-anticipated disco.
Friday was the perfect way to wrap up the week, with more exciting activities including the giant swing, before we made our way back to London. It truly was a wonderful trip, enjoyed by everyone.!
