We have had an incredibly enjoyable and valuable week! In Maths, we explored ratio and proportion in class and how it applies outside of school. We talked about how architects and map-makers must use scaled drawings precisely and how we may need to amend recipes based on how many people are being served! This resulted in an active, purposeful week of Maths.
In English, we have started our plan for our information text on British animals. Some of the research conducted and expressed in their plans have been fantastic and informative. We are excited to see the wonderful information texts that will come from such detailed plans.
In PE, we celebrated the triumphs of our pupils so far this year during a special assembly. Our assembly was opened with some remarkable gymnasts putting on an exhilarating show. A huge well done, we are sure you have inspired a lot of our pupils present to reach the quality that you all displayed today.
To finish the week, we had an eye-opening workshop on the dangers of Carbon monoxide. The workshop was extremely active consisting of mindmaps, drama and dancing! Our pupils came away with a much sounder understanding of such an important issue.
Finally, a massive thank you to all the amazing people at our school who contributed to the Amazon Wishlist. We are incredibly grateful for it, as are all the pupils!
