This week, our pupils immersed themselves in British Science Week. This year, the theme of British Science Week was Time. We used this theme as an opportunity to create posters around this theme – we had posters on the evolution of songs, the evolution of mobile phones and even the evolution of hairstyles!
As is tradition, we had our whole school assembly this week, celebrating all the achievements of our fantastic pupils. Well done to our children who won the Dojo Champion award as well as those who reached 100% attendance for Spring Term!
Seeing as we are currently in Holy Week, Year 6 spent a lot of time discussing the stories of Holy Week, and its significance for Catholics. We talked largely about Jesus’ sentencing to death by Pontius Pilate, his journey up Golgotha and finally, his resurrection on Easter Sunday. With all this being said, I wish you all a very happy and restful Easter, may the joy of the risen Christ be a comfort to you and your families.
