This week in Year 6, our pupils began a new topic in Science – Classifying Living Things. This topic helps our pupils classify based on characteristics, temperament, biology, etc. However, before we could classify living things, we had to classify non-living things. With this in mind, the pupils had to create a classification key, intended to separate the different sweets into their own category. We can neither admit, nor deny, that we may have eaten the sweets after the completion of the task!
Finally, we were lucky to have some of our Year 6 students – who are part of the Fable Robot Club – join us in the afternoon to show one of their projects. The pupils had programmed the robot to react to a nearby phone, allowing the user to complete a maze based on the orientation/movement of the phone. It is truly incredible how technologically literate our pupils truly are!
