What a fantastic first week back it’s been in Year 5! The students have settled into their new classrooms beautifully and have already shown great enthusiasm and maturity as they begin this next stage of their learning journey. It’s been wonderful to see everyone reuniting with their classmates and sharing their adventures over the summer break. There’s a real buzz of excitement about the new topics we’ll be exploring this year. From diving into fascinating History topics to tackling challenging Maths and creative writing tasks, Year 5 is off to a brilliant start!
This week in Year 5, the students began their new Religion topic, Creation and Covenant. This term, the students will explore the story of the Exodus and the Ten Commandments, learning about the importance of freedom, responsibility and making good choices. This week, the students took part in a special activity where they acted out our school’s mission statement and values in real-life situations. This led to some thoughtful and meaningful discussions about how we can all be a positive influence in our school community by showing kindness, respect and fairness in our everyday actions.
