We did it! The first week of Spring term is now complete. All students settled quickly back to their school routine. On Monday morning, we attended Mass at St Joseph’s Church in Archway. As it was January 6th, we celebrated the Epiphany which commemorates the day the three kings finally arrived to give their gifts to the Christ child. The Mass was followed by a religion lesson which provided students with an opportunity to reflect on the meaning of this special day.
This week in Religion lessons, students have been thinking about the qualities that makes Jesus a good shepherd. We played a drama game which required students to act a scene that shows Jesus displaying the qualities of a good shepherd. The students were fortunate to have a blue-sky day so we went outside to make the most of the sun. We had lots of fun and the pictures generated thought provoking discussions.
Congratulations to Herani and Sonny in Tanzanite class. They both earned the most coins on Times Table Rock Stars this week.
