This week we have continued to dig deeper into our new book in English, ‘The Hound of the Baskervilles’. The children have spent time picking apart the challenging writing of Arthur Conan Doyle, and learning about characterisation and the skills authors use to create exciting, intriguing characters.
In religion, we were picking apart the interesting question, ‘How and why do Christians today live out what Jesus asked of his disciples at the Last Supper?’. The children collaborated on their ideas and generated reflective pieces of work.
Perhaps the most exciting part of the week, we celebrated World Book Day. In keeping with our theme of cosying up with a book, children wore their ‘comfies’ to school and celebrated all things books. Some children visited the library and showed off their decorated spoons and favourite books.
Indigo class spent time creating book covers of their favourite books.
See you next week!
