A very busy week in Year 5. The children have shown so much dedication in the face of lots of tricky assessments. We are very proud of how hard they have worked.
Outside of this, we have tried to keep things fun for them.
This week, in religion, we have started our new topic of ‘Transformation’. The children have begun by exploring the concepts of energy and change, and how we have energy in ourselves that can change and transform situations around us. In role-plays, the children demonstrated how their energy could positively impact a negative situation.
We also looked at the story ‘The Road to Emmaus’, and explored the actions and emotions of Jesus and His disciples when Jesus presented himself to His friends after His resurrection.
IN PE, we are developing our skills in tennis. We have focussed on ball control, and how to correctly handle a tennis racket.
