This week in Geography the children have been learning about some of the positive and negative impacts of tourism in the Alpine region. The children discussed reasons as to why tourists may visit the Alps and then explored some of the different industries present in the Alpine region. They worked in groups to research ways in which tourism may give a boost to the region and how it can help the locals.
In Science the children have been exploring the force – air resistance. They started to plan an investigation that they will be conducting which will investigate how air resistance acts upon different size and shaped parachutes. The children will investigate using a range of materials and shapes and sizes of parachutes.
