What an exhilarating Sports Week we’ve had!
On Monday we had Middlesex Cricket Club taster sessions, where the children got a feel for the skills required to become an expert cricketer.
On Tuesday, we were joined by coaches and players from the London Mets Baseball Club, who taught the children how to pitch a ball, swing a bat and play a mini-game.
On Wednesday, we had a break from sports to get in touch with nature. The children all had the opportunity to plant seeds. Let’s hope they grow.
On Thursday, we were joined again by Michael Peet to try out an athletics circuit. The children had fun trying the standing long jump, hurdling, and sprinting – among many other things.
The grand finale on Friday saw the children having a go at completing a skipping challenge and then being spectators for the football match of the century – Teachers vs. Year 6! After an exciting game, the Year 6s won the game and the hearts of all their captivated Year 5 fans.
