Happy Friday Year 5!
This week we put our Geography hats on and had fun finding out what the key topographical features of the UK are. Adults at home, see if the children still remember what topographical means.
We also participated in a science workshop in our classrooms, all about CO (Carbon Monoxide) and what we can do to stay safe. All the children went home with a pen, a keyring, and an informative leaflet. They also came up with fun dance routines to a song about CO and how difficult it is to detect without an alarm.
In Spanish, we continued to expand our vocabulary by looking at the names of our hobbies. We were able to use this language to express our likes and dislikes and even express reasons for our opinions.
Lastly, we attended a spectacular sports assembly where we saw some of our very own Year 5 students showing off their gymnastics skills. We also celebrated the successes of all the sportspeople in our school, including those who completed the mini-marathon and those who attended the recent Channing Junior School Netball Festival.
See you next week!
