Year 5 has been very excited this week, to be witnessing history in the making.
We have been learning all about King Charles III’s life, creating fact files detailing his life up until now and the traditions involved in his coronation.
We had a fun and celebratory lunch together in the hall – decked out in our red, white, and blue and flying the flag of the UK.
The children had endless fun participating in the sponsored bounce, coordinated by our wonderful PTA. We hope some great money has been raised around the school.
In the afternoon, the children created pieces of art inspired by symbols of the coronation, including the Union Jack, a crown, a sceptre an orb, and King Charles’ profile.
