This week in Science the children conducted investigations to find out how effective different types of parachutes are.
The children were exploring the force air resistance and were looking to find out how the shape of a parachute or material used effected the amount of air resistance that acted upon the parachute.
The children had previously created a question to investigate and then had to source a range of materials to help them with their investigation. They used an iPad to time the parachutes descent and then were able to analyse their results and compare the parachutes.
On Friday the children were also treated to a wonderful performance by Indigo class’ very own Cosima and her father. Cosima played the violin absolutely beautifully, accompanied by her father. It was a real treat for us!
