A short but oh-so-sweet week for Year 5.
We had an excellent workshop this week. Ruairi led an interactive Bodhran workshop, where all the children got to develop their skills in using the traditional Irish drum. We were incredibly impressed with the synchronised and rousing music they created in the workshop.
We had a very special visit from the bishop of our diocese, Bishop Hudson. Whilst Indigo class had the opportunity to perform ‘Imagine’, from their class assembly, for Bishop Hudson, Tanzanite class invited the bishop into their classroom for a lively discussion.
As some people may know, on Sunday the Catholic Church celebrates the feast day of St Joseph’s – the saint our school is dedicated to. We couldn’t let this special day pass by without recognition so all the children (and the staff) in the school received an ice lolly to enjoy. Indigo class successfully showed their ability to multi-task by enjoying their ice lollies whilst creating posters about unusual life cycles in science.
