Year 5 students had a fantastic trip to the British Museum last week. Since attending this trip, students’ curiosity in all things Anglo-Saxon have been reignited. We have noticed incredible engagement during History lessons which has been rewarding to see.
Year 5 were very lucky to be visited by the Three Discovery team who ran a workshop on creating and editing videos on the iPad with the app iMovie. Students worked in groups to create an educational video about the Anglo-Saxons which is the topic of our History unit this term.
Students have been working very hard in Science this term. We have had an absolute blast learning about forces. We have conducted multiple experiments looking at gravity, friction, air resistance and water resistance. Next term we will be learning about reversible and irreversible changes which will involve different states of matter – solids, liquids and gases.
Have a wonderful break and a well deserved rest.
