This week as part of Maths Week London the children took part in two virtual NRICH maths sessions. The sessions focused on ‘thinking strategically’ and the children were introduced to a number of games which required careful thinking, consideration and strategy. The children also took part in a virtual ‘Maths on Toast Escher inspired Tessellation Workshop’ and created their own pieces of mathematical inspired artwork.
The children have been studying Ancient Greece in History and have been researching a number of the famous Greek myths. In English the children have been unpicking the features of a playscript and are now in the process of turning their researched Greek myth into a playscript. The children have been considering the different characters, scenes and settings in the Greek myths and have been creating dialogue between characters to feed into their playscripts. Once complete the children will have a chance to perform their Greek myths! We’re going to be designing and building props and costumes for the performances and the children will have a chance to show off their acting talents!
