In Science, students learnt about the famous experiment conducted by Galileo Galilei. He dropped a heavy weight and a light weight from the top of the Leaning Tower of Pisa to show that both weights fall at the same acceleration. To repeat this experiment, we dropped an empty and full water and observed if they fell together or separately. We have also been learning about air resistance and how its impact allows skydivers to land safely with a parachute.
This week, Year 5 students have been learning about the covenants that God made with Noah, David and Moses during Religion lessons. Students have been creating beautiful work which they have presented proudly and with enthusiasm. Every morning, we engage in collective worship which is led by a single student each day.
