This week in their Geography lesson the children have been learning about the Alpine region in Europe! They had a chance to use an atlas to explore some of the different countries and regions in Europe and then we specifically looked at the Alpine regions. The children established that the Alps are fold mountains and they learnt about the different ways that fold mountains are formed.
This week the children also welcomed the author ‘Emer Stamp’ into school. It was brilliant to hear from Emer and we are sure that some of the children feel inspired to start writing themselves after meeting Emer!
