What a week it has been in Year 4!
We have been identifying the features of an outsider narrative in our English lessons in order to prepare for writing our own narratives. We will be writing from the perspective of a polar bear, so today we watched some videos and tried to put ourselves in the polar bears shoes to think about the different sensations he would be feeling. The children came up with some very interesting phrases they could use for their own narratives.
In Maths we have been using our times tables to solve problems. The children have been working hard trying to use new methods and share some tricks which can help them to recall their times tables facts.
We were very lucky to have our Violin tutor back today for some exciting lessons. We rehearsed our song ‘Chocolate treats’ and then listened to some music to compare the different pulses in different songs. Then we tried plucking a new song called ‘Willow Waltz’ which had three beats. It sounded beautiful!
Have a great weekend,
Miss Gormley and Mr Hannigan.
