This week in Year 4 we have continued our violin lessons learning about beat and rhythm. We have begun to establish different finger positions and notes on the violin, we learned what the word ‘pizzicato’ means, which is a playing technique involving the use of plucking strings. We look forward to developing our skills further and playing beautiful music!
In Science, we have been exploring States of Matter! We have explored different types of states such as solids, liquids and gases. We have understood when a liquid turns into a gas, a process called evaporation occurs and when cooled the gas turns back into a liquid causing condensation. We experimented with this idea through the use of a jar, boiling water and ice!
