This week in Year 4, we have continued our Science work on different types of structures and incorporated the knowledge we have learnt into building our own towers. We worked in groups and showcased brilliant teamwork to try and build the tallest BUT also the sturdiest tower.
In English, we have written our diary entries about what it could be like as a refugee child, fleeing the country. This was in connection to our focus book ‘The Journey’ by Francesca Sanna. We wrote some powerful and moving entries, including lots of interesting vocabulary, personification, and fronted adverbials.
We also had a very exciting day this week, meeting our new class teachers and seeing our new classrooms for our transition day! We have worked incredibly hard in Year 4 and are definitely ready for our next challenge in Year 5!
