This was a short week but it started off sweet as we have been using marshmallows and spaghetti to explore structures in Science. On Monday we investigated why triangles are used to support structures. We made 3D cubes using with and without triangles to test which could hold the most weight. The children discovered that triangles have fixed angles so they cannot flatten. Therefore, they are used to support many structures and buildings.
We have also had many more practical lesson this week;
Planting bulbs to keep in our greenhouse,
learning about the features of Newspaper reports,
and working together to carry out research on Egyptian pyramids.
Have a great long weekend boys and girls!
