This week in Year 4 we have been continuing our learning in history about Highgate Cemetery. We have been exploring the different symbolisms on memorials at the cemetery and sharing the projects that we created at home. It was great to see so much fantastic effort put into these projects and the amount that we all learned while doing it. We are looking forward to our trip to Highgate Cemetery next Tuesday to extend our learning further!
In Maths this week, we have been focusing on rounding numbers to the nearest 10, 100 and 1000. We explored different strategies to help us solve problems and applied these to a range of real-world scenarios. On Friday, we had fun creating our own 4-digit numbers using dice and then rounding these to the nearest 10, 100 and 1000. We are looking forward to exploring effective addition and subtraction strategies next week!
