We have had a super week in Year 4!
In Science we were exploring how salt can effect substances and observing changes in state. We made our own ice cream using milk, sugar, salt and ice. The small bag with milk and sugar was placed in the bigger bag with salt and ice, and we shook for ten minutes. It was interesting to see that salt helped to create a colder temperature for our substance to freeze.
In Geography we have been researching world rivers. Each table had a secret river to investigate. We prepared clues about the key features and how the river is used. Then the class guessed our rivers. We enjoyed using the atlases and chrome books for our research.
Have a great weekend,
Miss Gormley and Mr Hannigan.
