This week we had a fantastic Judaism workshop. We learnt about the range beliefs and celebrations of Jewish people, such as how they use the Torah. The children were then able to have a go writing their names in Hebrew, dressing up in Jewish clothing, drawing Mezuzahs and exploring artefacts. It was a great opportunity for them to reflect on the similarities and differences between Christianity and Judaism. We were even able to understand a bit of Hebrew by thinking about the names of important people such as Abraham and Joseph!
This week we have also been exploring living things in our school environment. We did an investigation to find all the living things we could spot in our school grounds, looking in the pond, forest and woodland areas. There were many more than we thought there would be. Then we came back and wrote reports about the living things we saw and the habitats they were found in.
Have a great weekend,
Miss Gormley and Mr Hannigan.
