Wow, what a week we’ve had!
On Tuesday we celebrated many of our children in Year 4 who made their First Holy Communions last year. We held the Start of Term Mass in St Joseph’s Church and the whole school came along. The children sang beautifully, read readings and took part in the offertory procession. They even looked the part, dressing up in their First Communion outfits! We are very proud of all our children for this event. To celebrate we had some cakes and treats in school after the Mass.
This week also had great fun exploring materials in our States of Matter topic. We used materials, such as soil and sand, and poured water over them to see how rainfall would react on these surfaces. We found that water infiltrated into some of the surfaces and ran off others. This information will help us to understand how water moves in a cycle around the world.
Have a great weekend,
Miss Gormley and Miss Clarke.
