Year 4: Caritas Poetry

This week, we have been exploring the theme of Dignity of the Human Person and how treating someone with dignity is to treat them with love, kindness and fairness. Through class and partner discussions, they came up with examples of what treating everyone with dignity would look like and how it links to the greatest commandment, “You shall love your neighbour as you love yourself.” We then delved into how everyone has a purpose and special talents and interests that help us all work together better. They wrote an I Am Better Than Ok poem which let the children express their own self-value and have the opportunity to see their classmate’s values too.
