We have been busy baking this week in preparation for our summer fair today! Sapphire class are selling cookie jars and Blue class are selling Brownies. We carefully measured the ingredients and made layers in our jars. We will sell them as dry ingredients and attach instructions for adding the final ingredients and baking. We can’t wait until you try these special treats!
We have also been exploring our school grounds again – this time in search for leaves! As part of our Science topic, Living Things, we are trying to use classification keys to identify leaves. We searched high and low in our woodland and forest area to find a range of leaves we could gather. We measured their height and width, and described their characteristics, such as lobed or spiky edges and distribution of veins.
