This week, Year 3 got the exciting opportunity to take part in a virtual workshop run by the Institute of Imagination. The children were inspired by animals’ traits and characteristics when designing places and spaces that best suited their chosen animal’s needs such as land or water. All of the classes’ creations came together to make diverse cities.
The children were invited to an inspiring Advent Assembly on Friday, where they were reminded of the true meaning of Christmas and why we should prepare well during Advent. To follow this, in class, some children led a liturgy with a focus on how we can best prepare for Christmas in our communities. We were very impressed with the children’s responses and how well they helped each other to complete their chosen reflective activity.
