Year 3 on Wednesday the 25th were lucky enough to take a trip down to the Cambridge Theatre to watch a Roald Dahl classic…
We caught the tube from Archway and travelled down to Leicester Square, were we walked to the theatre. The children were buzzing with excitement. It was great to know how many children had engaged themselves prior to the trip by reading Roald Dahl stories or watching the film of Matilda.
As a school we highly recommend children to read Roald Dahl books as he displays a brilliant variety of descriptive detail which can really add to children’s writing.
If your child would like to learn more about Roald Dahl then the official website has lots of fun facts and activities which can be accessed at this link:

The children relished the opportunity to go to the theatre and were exceptionally well behaved. We now look forward to writing some diary entries from the story in our learning next week!
