This week in science, Year 3 has been investigating the absorbancy of different nappies. In our topic ‘Testing Materials’ we have studied a range of different types of materials and their properties. Pupils had opportunities to ask their own questions and make decisions on how to answer their questions using different scientific enquiry activities. We used 4 different types of nappies to complete the experiment and discussed elements of the experiment that were controlled, and elements that were variables. Pupils also explored the importance of predictions and conclusions within experiments and how we can analyse our results to conclude our findings.
