Another extremely productive week from everyone in year 3. We are deep in our discovery of facts and information about the topic ‘Prehistoric Britain’. The focus of our topic learning this week was the paleolithic period and early man’s discovery of fire. The pupils thoroughly enjoyed recreating this moment in history, in the surroundings of our wonderful woodland area. In other areas of the curriculum, the pupils explored a new area of athletics whilst learning the importance of good sportsmanship and fair play. Through our current affairs topic we have been investigating the everchanging political landscape of Afghanistan, with a particular focus on refugees. Pupils have had the opportunity to gain insight into the life of an Afghan refugee through drama and hot seating activities. Myself and Mr Forbes believe that some of our pupils are destined for a career in the West-end.
