We made it!!!
It is very hard to believe we have made it to the very last week of yet another half-term. Pupils worked extremely hard this week to recap on all of their learning over the last half-term through assessments, tests, and quizzes. One of our key focuses this week was recapping all of the SPaG we have learned to date in year 3. Pupils had the opportunity to do this through whiteboard work, interactive board activities, and challenge games.
In other areas of the curriculum, pupils finally came to the end of our ‘Local History’ topic. We explored the topic through the anchor idea of ‘campaign’. Pupils had to write a letter of campaign to a local architect who was ‘planning to demolish the village of Highgate and replace it with a new and modern Highgate’. Through a letter of campaign, pupils had to persuade this architect to preserve Highgate using their understanding of listed buildings and sites.
