Welcome back Year 3!
We have hit the ground running this week and picked up where we left off. Pupils have thoroughly enjoyed playing in the sunshine, the summer is in sight! Pupils have worked extremely hard this week and have been producing some fantastic work. In English, we have started our new novel Jemmy Button. Pupils will be working towards producing ”A letter home” from the perspective of the novel’s protagonist. In other areas of our learning pupils have started the topic ‘Food and Our Bodies’ in science. Pupils have been learning about what animals and humans have in common. In PE we have been working hard on perfecting dance sequences to represent how a machine works. We experienced some really creative moves in the final performance. In our History, we have returned to study local history with a focus on listed buildings in our surrounding area. Pupils enjoyed researching Kenwood house and debating why listed buildings should be preserved or demolished.
Have a fantastic weekend!
