Welcome back year 3!
What a busy week we had. In maths this week we have been focusing on long addition and subtraction, using manipulatives to aid us in our work. In English we have been exploring the current affairs topic ‘COP 26.’ We explored persuasive language features and discussed how persuasive language could be used to combat climate change. We carried out research on climate change and came together to discuss the affect it is having on our planet. Today we held our own mini COP 26 conference. We voiced our opinions on climate change and discussed the real changes that need to be made in the world today. Pupils discussed how different countries are currently combatting climate change and what they can do in their own lives to reduce their carbon footprint.
