Another fantastic week is over in year 3. In our reading lessons this week we have been exploring weather and climate in different parts of the world. We have used our reading skills to extract important information about Antarctica. We have been using our explaining skills to demonstrate what we now know by presenting our posters to the class. In other areas of the curriculum we began our science topic ‘Light and shadows.’ In this lesson we used coloured dough to recreate different light sources. We were able to differentiate which light sources were man-made and which light sources were natural. We finished a wonderful week with a PSHE lesson on the topic of ‘Bullying’ with a focus on the importance of kind words. We wrote our names on a hand template and passed it around the room for people to share their kind words with us. At the end of the lesson pupils were reminded of how kind words make them feel and the importance of sharing these words with others.
Have a lovely weekend!
