This week the children have been diving further into their learning all about rocks. We have been trying to master the new challenging vocabulary ‘igneous’, ‘sedimentary’, and ‘metamorphic’. The children did a great job categorising different rocks into natural rocks and man-made or ‘anthropic’ rocks.
In Computing, the children are learning all about how to use devices safely, protecting both their physical safety and their mental well-being. With their class teachers, they read and agreed to an ‘Acceptable Use Policy’, which detailed 24 different ways they can stay safe online. With Mrs Suliga, in their Computing lessons, Year 3 generated their own rules for using devices, so that device use remains safe and respectful; for example, ‘Do not use your device whilst driving,’ and ‘Do not use your device in Church.’
A week in Year 3 isn’t complete without a little fun, and Green Class have been enjoying their movement breaks using ‘Just Dance’ to energise them for their work ahead.
