This week, Year 2 worked hard in English to produce detailed instructions explaining how to build a suitable habitat for a Bog Baby. Before half-term, the children looked at the features of instructions and so were able to include many of these in their own writing such as a title, subheadings, bullet points, numbers and bossy or imperative verbs. The children also wrote their own ‘I wonder… ‘ questions about our new focus text ‘Grandad’s Island’ using pictures from the book. They had some interesting ideas. We are absolutely blown away by the quality and presentation of writing in Year 2. Keep up the wonderful work!
