This week, Year 2 went to Wagamama to learn about healthy eating, which was a fun experience for everyone involved. They explored the menu and discovered how various dishes can be made with nutritious ingredients. The highlight of their trip was making a delicious noodle dish with fresh vegetables, as they worked together to chop onions, carrots, and peppers. They talked about how important it is to eat a balanced diet while they savoured every bite of their meal.
In our Religious Education lessons, we revisited the heartwarming story of the Nativity and the birth of Jesus. The class worked hard to retell the story in their words, capturing the joy and wonder of the Christmas tale. Each child created fantastic pictures to illustrate their retellings, showcasing the key moments of the story. We felt it was important to remember the kindness and love shown in the story, so we even discussed how we can spread that message ourselves, not just during Christmas but throughout the year. Our hard work culminated in a lovely display of our stories, and we hope you enjoy looking at it as much as we enjoyed creating it!
