In English, Year 2 used their imaginations to create character descriptions of mythical animals, including unicorns, ninja cats and vampire dolphins! By describing the animal’s unique features and homes, they have gained a deeper appreciation for the wonders of nature — both real and imagined.
Year 2 have also been learning about Fair Trade and how it helps farmers around the world get a fair price for their crops. We discussed how choosing Fair Trade products supports communities and protects the environment.
On Wednesday, Diamond Class held their prayer service to celebrate our planet and its animals and to reflect on how we can care for creation. Diamond Class and their parents and carers shared thoughts and prayers, asking for guidance to protect our environment and sharing hopes for God’s creatures.
Through these activities, Year 2 have reinforced their commitment to caring for creation and respecting the interconnectedness of all living things. Together, we can make a positive impact on our world.
