Yesterday, Year 2 embarked on an exciting trip to Walton-On-the-Naze beach. They hopped on the coach, buzzing with excitement. It was a long journey so as soon as we arrived, we found a cozy spot on the grass and had a picnic lunch… but some cheeky seagulls tried to snatch our sandwiches! Unfortunately for them, they were unsuccessful!
Eager to dive in, the children soon kicked off their shoes and splashed around in the cool waves. They also built amazing sandcastles, using buckets and spades. Their sandy creations were impressive!
Laughter filled the air as they played happily… but the best part was enjoying yummy ice-cream! It was the perfect treat on a sunny day!
Reluctantly, we had to say goodbye to the beach and headed back to school, chatting and sharing stories on the coach. With sandy feet and happy memories, the children returned home, undoubtedly ready for a well-deserved nap after a long day!
