This week in Year 2 we have been preparing for our new school challenge ‘Don’t Freak Out, Just Speak Out’.
We debated the topic: Should homework be banned in school?
Our teachers were very impressed as we produced our ideas, some quotes from the debate:
“I do NOT think homework should be banned because it makes us even smarter and we can improve our writing skills!”
“I think homework should be banned because we do a lot of challenging work in school and we need a break!”
“I do NOT think homework should be banned because when we get older we need to know how to read, write and use Maths in our jobs and teach our children when we are adults!”
An array of answers and thought provoking ideas! We are looking forward to the next round of the challenge!
